Johnny Cash met Jack Clements when Clements as the sound engineers at fabled SUN recorders in Memphis, Elvis's starting point. Jack went on to become Nashville's favourite maverick producer/songwriter. Cash recorded several of his songs over the years. Cowboy Jack Clements also helped break Nashville's colour bar by producing Charlie Pride's early records.
